Each round the orders (Cards) you play increases your army’s Burnout, running the risk you will lose a turn. The orders played determine what troops can move, whether you go first or second in the initiative order, and what positional objectives are active this round.

Narratively, Remnant of Man tells the story of what happened after The War of the Worlds. History didn’t end, but rather an early World War is kicked off over who gets to control the weapons left behind by the Martian invaders.
