The danger is supposed to be out there, outside the life support bubble. You are supposed to be safe in here. But someone mismanaged the Colony’s hazardous materials and now the environment within the bubble is as dangerous as the environment outside . . .

Hostile Sun Sagas will publish monthly. Each will contain Three highly detailed Maps with unique objectives, clues and deadly hazards.

Many GMs don’t know how to write Environmental Encounters, situations where it is the environment, and not a violent aggressor, that is endangering the lives of the player characters. My hope is that Hostile Sun Sagas will help GMs explore this style of storytelling, and add a new encounter type to their repertoire.

In the Environmental encounter above there are five zones marked, one of which each turn will be threatened by off-gassing. Drum Areas, Circuits and Pipes offer potential clues for the players to find. The players also have an area they need to get to before they space suits fail. Each of these areas is explained in detail in the module book.

The multiple objectives require players to use their time wisely, whilst watching for danger.

The first Hostile Sun Saga is an interesting adventure, as it is the first Hostile Sun scenario I have written that takes place largely indoors. The Colony has mismanaged their hazmat area and that is leading to the life support bubble becoming a death trap!

I also got to design some fun creature images for this one. (Images made with legal stock art and Adobe Photoshop)

Above we have a twin headed muta-mouse. And below we have a Tar-rantula, capable of liquidizing itself.

A OPRPG is included as well, which allows the module to be played with traditional D&D stats.
